This program aim at providing the highest quality education that promotes inter-disciplinary research, critical thinking, evidence-based practice and leadership. The role of the Occupational therapist is to help disabled individuals who have physical illness or injury, congenital or developmental disability, emotional and/or cognitive disorder.
The Occupational Therapy program is a four year program which will lead to a BS in Occupational Therapy. This program will prepare individuals to assist patients limited by physical, cognitive, psychosocial, mental, developmental, and learning disabilities. The program includes basic medical sciences, psychology, patient assessment and evaluation, rehabilitative technologies, ergonomics, vocational counseling, health education and promotion, professional standards and ethics.
