The University Council approved the establishment of the Scientific Saudi Association for Public Health in King Saud bin Abdulaziz of University for Health Sciences.

The Saudi Scientific Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (SSBMT) will lead to the development of theoretical and applied knowledge and the provision of consultancy and applied scientific studies both general and specific in accordance with the provisions of the general rules governing the association.

The Saudi Bioethics Society (SBS) was established due to the urgent need to develop theoretical and applied concepts of bioethics, as well as to provide advice, scientific studies and applied general and specialized studies of this field as per the established rules. SBS will work on developing scientific reasoning in bioethics and achieving scientific communication for its members as well as offering scientific advice.
