The Medical Imaging Department in King Abdulaziz Medical City in collaboration with the Postgraduate Training Center of the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences is pleased to announce our upcoming "1st Breast Imaging Conference & Workshops in Saudi Arabia," on 01-03 May 2011 at the Makarim Hall of the Riyadh Marriott Hotel.
Objectives and goals:
The conference designed to provide a comprehensive review & update of both established breast imaging modalities along with advances in state–of-the-art techniques. Comprehensive discussion with emphasis on practical advice- of Mammography, Breast Ultrasound, MRI and interventional techniques. Moreover the significant roles of Radiologist in breast care with emphasis on the importance of Radiology-Pathology correlation. Also to highlight some of the emerging new modalities in which promoting more the role of imaging in breast care.
Special screening session will be focus on the important role of radiology in early detection and saving life.

The Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center ,Baltimore, USA Associate Professor, Department of Radiology and Oncology. He is very active especially related to development of breast cancer awareness, early detection, and creation of centers of excellence in breast care. Training also primary care physician help in establishment the program in Jordan, Lebanon.UAE and Qassim area.
- Louise C. Miller, RTRM, Supervisor, Lewis Street Radiology
Co-director of the Mammography Practicum at the School of Medicine, University of California in San Diego. she served as coordinator and faculty of the QCC Mammography Seminars which trained over 17,000 technologists in the US and Canada. She has also served on numerous national committees, including the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists which have developed education and training standards for mammography in the US. Ms. Miller has volunteered her time to help develop, coordinate and implement mammography screening programs and education for Mammography technologists in numerous foreign countries .She has been a consultant and invited lecturer for noted institutions and radiologists including, Harvard Medical School, the Mayo Clinic, UCLA and Stanford University. Co-author the "Handbook of Mammography. “She is also member of QCC Team who….committed to excellence in technologist education.

The activity will be accredited with CME hours from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
