Under the auspice of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Ministry of Education will organize the 7th International Exhibition and Conference on Higher Education (IECHE 2017) between 12-15 April 2017, under the theme "Saudi Universities and Vision 2030: Knowledge is the Oil of The Future”. The Conference will be held in Riyadh, with the participation of experts and speakers from 30 countries around the world carrying out more than (59) workshops and a number of scientific sessions and seminars, as well as the offers from 380 universities and institutions of higher education from inside and outside the Kingdom.
H.E the Minister of Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, said that the support of the exhibition and the conference on its 7th year from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud - is an honor for the educational staff, and a proof of what is provided to this sector of support from the prudent Leadership. Also, the sessions and workshops that will be held during the conference will address many of the educational issues that is important to Saudi universities and their role in achieving the Saudi vision 2030, especially with the quality of university education and raising its efficiency towards the outputs that suit the needs of the labor market and International Competitiveness.
In addition, His Excellency praised the achievements of the previous exhibitions and conference in the past years, pointing out that these kinds of events became interesting to many countries to participate in. Beside, these events help in achieving economic, cultural, and scientific goals. For that, the ministry is keen in organizing such specialized international conferences and exhibitions.
Moreover, His Excellency the Minister of Education said that this global event gathers 303 International universities, as well as, 77 universities and institutions of higher education from kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This event will give an opportunity for Saudi universities to interact and benefit from the international universities programs and to contribute to transfer knowledge. Also, H.E added that this international partnership shows the confidence of the international community in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the educational and cultural levels. It also reflects the interest of countries and universities for the presence of the Kingdom in this event, saying that it gives the international universities the opportunities to attract Saudi youth to study aboard, either in The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques External scholarship program, or for students at their own expense.
The university aims through this participation to introduce its academic and educational programs, by providing visitors with a brief about the university. In this event, College of Dentistry and College of Applied Medical Sciences will represent KSAU-HS. These two colleges will provide visitors with the programs of each college, educational opportunities available and scholarship opportunities for distinguished students. In addition, as part of its responsibility towards the community, the booth will provide an opportunity to raise awareness of dental problems through a disclosure of oral health by using latest medical technologies in this field. Moreover, College of Applied Medical Sciences will offer an opportunity to have information about most important specialties, such as Emergency Medicine.
