His Royal Highness Prince Muteb bin Abdullah, Minister of National Guard will launch Tomorrow the Patient Safety Forum 2017 which will be hosted by the Ministry of National Guard - Health Affairs and KSAU-HS, with the participation of senior local and international health leaders, doctors, health workers and academics and will last for 4 days.

Dr. Bandar Abdulmohsen Al Knawy President, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences CEO, National Guard Health Affairs - General Supervisor stressed that His Royal Highness’s patronage for the 7th time is a reflection for HRH Prince Muteb bin Abdullah to support the medical sector at the Minister of National Guard to assert that the health sector at the Ministry of National Guard, in addition to patient care quality and concepts and applications development of patient safety are all up to date. The conference will cover several topics through lectures, discussion sessions and workshops such as: Scientific challenges in the field of patient safety, as well as the health quality improvement, training and medical education with respect to patient safety, the role of technology in the field of patient safety, patient culture and experience improvement, best practices in harm reduction in hospitals, building leadership skills to health care providers, ensuring patients safety and MERS-CoV recovery, reviewing the latest technologies and applications, and last but not least, the best leading local and global practices and experience in the field of patient safety.
Moreover, the conference will host (15) training workshops lead by an elite international and local speakers in patient safety and quality, to and discuss a number of topics in the field of patient safety. The 7th Patient Safety Forum Features the participation of a number of local and international organizations and health sectors, such as the World Health Organization as well as the most prestigious international universities and hospitals represented by speakers local and international from the United States of America, Canada, the UK, and Denmark, as it will serve as a platform for the professionals and those interested to participate and exchange research results, and encourage debate on how to provide health care and full and effective support and dissemination of health culture.
The conference aims to disseminate an educational message to the community and to encourage its members and the families of patients to share with their patients the concept of patient safety.
