Based on its mission to serve the community and raise the professional level of physicians and health care professionals, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) represented in postgraduate Training Center offers many training programs. As such, KSAU-HS organizes its locally and internationally accredited programs in cooperation with local and international experts and specialists such as: the American Heart Association (AHA), American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), Saudi Heart Association (SHA), Saudi Society for Respiratory Care (SSRC) and the Saudi Commission for health Specialties (SCHS).
It offers:
- Basic and Advanced Life Support courses in all medical specialties.
- Specialized workshops of theoretical and practical aspects, allowing participants the opportunity to develop their practical skills in their specialization.
- Short and long-term courses in specialized areas of medicine and health care according to local and international standards of the accreditation of specialized medical centers.
- Preparation courses for Saudi Board and Arab Board tests in various medical specialties.
The principle task of the Postgraduate Training Center is to offer an advanced continuous medical education and to promote the professional development of medical and nursing staff. KSAU-HS takes pride in the high reputation the Center has achieved as one the best training centers in the region which has maintained the highest level of standards. The Center now offers a wide variety of medical/surgical practical skill workshops, life support courses, and Saudi Board Preparatory Courses. All courses include materials on current advances and developments in medical-technical research as recommended by various worldwide scientific bodies.
