almoamary photo 2012King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences strives to achieve and maintain the highest quality and institutional excellence standards through the active participation of faculty members, students, and University staff. The University aims to reach excellence and high quality in its main areas: education, scientific research, and community service, to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, with the support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his faithful Crown Prince - May God protect them -.

Since the establishment of the University's Vice Presidency for Development and Quality Management Affairs in July 2013, the Vice Presidency has sought to define its mission and strategic objectives and to set operational plans to enhance all academic and operational processes of the University. One of its Initial achievements was the launch of the Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) in 2014, which institutionalized quality processes and branched out into many levels of academic and operational details. This was achieved through standing committees for governance, detailed procedural regulations, and the "AJWAD" performance management system. This resulted in distinguished performance in academic accreditation processes and obtaining full institutional accreditation for seven years from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission )ETEC), which was renewed in early 2025. This was followed by a comprehensive operational plan that led to the signing of accreditation contracts for all university programs with the ETEC and some international bodies, resulting in these programs obtaining academic accreditations.

The Vice Presidency for Development and Quality Management Affairs also aims to enhance development and excellence processes by preparing strategic plans for the University, operational plans, and monitoring initiatives with indicators to ensure achieving their objectives. The Vice Presidency also prepares periodic reports reflecting the university's efforts and plays a pivotal role in drafting the university's internal regulations and procedural rules. To enhance excellence processes, the Vice Presidency oversees everything that elevates the University's ranking and supports digital transformation processes, launching numerous initiatives that contribute to institutional excellence. The Vice Presidency also focuses significantly on transformation processes in the university's structure to enhance performance efficiency.
