​Community ​Activities Brief Description
EMDS OSCE Simulation Prepare second-year EMDS students for OSCE exams. The activity was conducted between 28/9/2021 – 15/10/2021 at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Riyadh. Four participants prepared the activity and eight attendees were present.
Saudi Red Crescent Authority Recruitment Exams Preparing paramedic exams for recruitment at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. The activity was conducted on 17/10/2021 and 18/10/2021 at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, KSAU-HS, Riyadh. Fifteen participants were involved and 1400 attendees received the exam.
تطوع بتخصصك To encourage EMDS students to volunteer in the field. The activity was conducted on 1/11/2021 at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, KSAU-HS, Riyadh. Two participants prepared the activity and 25 people attended it.
Tour to EMDS Station – حياكم21 To educate pre-professional students about the EMDS specialty and its work environment. Conducted on 7/11/2021 at the EMDS station, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. Thirty attendees were present.
Educational Tour About EMS Helping students understand EMS as a specialty and its work environment. Conducted on 9/11/2021 at the EMDS station, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. Three participants prepared the activity and 10 attendees were present.
Tour to EMDS Station To learn more about EMDS specialty and its work environment. Conducted on 21/11/2021 at the EMDS station, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh. Three participants conducted the activity and 20 people attended.
How to Study from the Book Teaching EMDS students how to study effectively from the book. Conducted virtually on 20/1/2022 via Microsoft Teams. Thirty students attended this activity.
First Aid Educating employees of Prince Sultan University about first aid. Conducted on 2/2/2022 at the Institute of Research and Consulting Services, Prince Sultan University. Eight professionals participated and 14 people attended.
Paramedics Future Pathways Introducing students to future job opportunities. Conducted virtually using Microsoft Teams on 25/2/2022.
First-Aid Course Educating the public on applying first aid. Targeted employees and 5th–6th grade students. Conducted at an elementary school on 22/3/2022. Three professionals participated, and 46 employees and students attended.
Each Minute Survival Introducing healthcare students and employees to EMDS Week and first-aid skills. Conducted at the College of Applied Medical Sciences on 18–19/5/2022. Ten students participated, and around 500 attendees were present.
Each Minute Survival Introducing the public to EMDS and teaching simple first-aid skills. Conducted at Riyadh Front on 20–21/5/2022. Eleven participants prepared the activity, and around 500 members of the public attended.

​ Community Activities Brief Description
Lecture entitled ‘بالوقت الضيق A lecture was delivered to students and teaching staff at the College of Dentistry, KSAU-HS, in November 2022. It focused on handling emergency situations in dental clinics. Attendance was approximately 40 participants.
Continuous Medical Education An online lecture was given to paramedics and emergency medical technicians at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in 2023. The lecture discussed how to manage pre-hospital cardiac cases. Total attendance reached around 350 participants.
COAMS 2nd Research & Innovation Day Joined the judging team to review research posters during the Research & Innovation Day in May 2023 at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, KSAU-HS.
Interprofessional Education Event Participated in the interprofessional education event in October 2022 at the Clinical Simulation Center, KSAU-HS. The event aimed to introduce healthcare students to different healthcare specialties. More than 100 attendees participated.
Continuous Education & Scholarships (Internal and External) An open discussion was provided to all students at the College of Applied Medical Sciences in January 2023. The session explored the importance and opportunities of pursuing higher education degrees. Around 80 students attended.
Mock Simulation A workshop was conducted for students at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, KSAU-HS, in February 2023. Senior students trained junior students on OSCE exam procedures. Total number of participants was 35.

Community Activities Brief Description
Learn to Rescue Camping A training camp was held to teach participants how to perform basic resuscitation. The activity aimed to improve their knowledge and confidence in responding to emergencies.
Hajj Mission A group of EMS students joined the Hajj medical mission in Makkah to provide emergency medical services to pilgrims. This activity offered supervised clinical experience during a large-scale event.
Dental First Aid EMS faculty delivered workshops on managing common emergency cases in dental clinics. The sessions focused on practical first aid skills relevant to dental practice.
Hackathon Students and faculty participated in the Hackathon, competing with other institutions in innovation and presenting research findings.
Health Professions Conference EMS students and faculty contributed to organizing the Health Professions Conference, promoting interaction with other health professions.
OSCE Orientation Faculty and senior EMS students delivered OSCE orientation sessions for junior students, helping them understand the exam format and prepare for clinical assessments.

Community Activities Brief Description
Orientation Day for COSHEP Students An orientation day was held for COSHEP stude​nts to introduce them to CAMS, with particular emphasis on the EMS program’s structure, learning outcomes, and clinical training pathways. The session aimed to improve students’ understanding of study requirements and support informed decisions about joining the program.
Simulation Center – Extrication Workshop (Two Days) Two days of simulation-based extrication workshops were delivered in the Simulation Center, using realistic scenarios and equipment to practice safe patient removal from vehicles and confined spaces. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ technical skills, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols in pre-hospital settings.
High School Visit (Maohba) High school students from Maohba visited the EMS department to tour the facilities and learn about the EMS profession and study plan. The visit aimed to raise awareness of emergency medical services as a career option and to encourage motivated students to apply to the program.
First Aid Workshop – STC Headquarters A first aid workshop was conducted at STC headquarters to provide staff with basic emergency response skills, including CPR and management of common workplace injuries. The activity promoted community engagement and increased public awareness of the role of CPR and early emergency care.
Health Profession Conference EMS faculty delivered lectures at the Health Profession Conference on topics related to emergency care and pre-hospital practice. This contribution supported interprofessional collaboration, shared current EMS practices with a wider audience, and enhanced the program’s visibility within the health sector.
University Alumni Day A lecture was delivered to EMS students during University Alumni Day, where alumni shared their workplace experiences and career pathways. The session aimed to link academic study with practice, provide role models for current students, and support their career planning.
Research Day A presentation was given at Research Day at Al Ghad University to showcase work related to EMS education and practice. Participation in this event helped to promote a research culture within the program and highlighted the contribution of EMS to academic and clinical development.
Emergency Suicidal Behaviours A workshop on managing emergency suicidal behaviours was prepared and delivered, focusing on recognition, immediate risk assessment, and appropriate referral pathways. The activity aimed to improve participants’ confidence and competence in responding safely and sensitively to patients at risk of self-harm.
