 Dr. Abdulmajeed Al Otaibi

Dr. Abdulmajeed Al Otaibi is a distinguished Assistant Professor in the Radiological Sciences Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS). His academic journey reflects a steadfast commitment to the field of radiology, beginning with a BSc in Radiology from Southern Illinois University, followed by an MSc in Radiology & Bio-imaging from Boston University. He furthered his expertise with a PhD in Radiological & Imaging Sciences from the University of Nottingham, where his research focused on the application of diffusion MRI models in type 2 diabetes and multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Al Otaibi's professional experience is equally impressive, having worked as an MRI specialist at Boston Medical Center and a CT/MRI specialist at Baptist Health Louisville. He is a board-certified radiologic technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and serves as a scientific reviewer and exam writer for the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Dr. Al Otaibi's research has garnered recognition, including the William H. Oldendorff Award from the American Society of Neuroimaging. His work has been published in numerous respected journals, and he serves as an Associate Editor for the Saudi Journal of Radiology and a reviewer for the Human Brain Mapping journal. His research interests primarily focus on neuroimaging, with a particular emphasis on the application of advanced MRI techniques to study neurological disorders.

Dr. Al Otaibi's contributions to the field of radiological sciences extend beyond his research and clinical practice. He is a co-founder of the Saudi Journal of Radiology and an active member of the American Society of Neuroimaging.
