 Areej A. Alhareeri

Assistant Professor
Dr. Areej Alhareeri is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Human Genetics in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences at the College of Applied Medical Sciences. Her academic journey includes a master’s and PhD in Human Genetics from the esteemed School of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, further complemented by an ABMGG fellowship in Clinical Cytogenetics at the same institution.

Dr. Alhareeri's expertise is widely recognized. She is a board-certified Clinical Cytogeneticist and a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Medical Genetics (ACMG). Additionally, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties has classified her as a Consultant Clinical Scientist in Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics.
Beyond her academic and clinical achievements, Dr. Alhareeri also contributes to the administrative side of the college. She has been serving as the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the female branch since 2022, showcasing her dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment.
