 Dr. Hassan Al Amri

Associate Professor
Dr. Hassan Alamri is an Associate Professor and accomplished researcher in the Clinical Laboratory Science Department at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. He earned his PhD in Clinical-bioanalytical Chemistry with a specialization in Clinical Chemistry from Cleveland State University, USA, and holds an MSc in Clinical Chemistry from the Rochester Institute of Technology, USA, along with a BSc in Medical Laboratory Science from King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia.  Dr. Alamri's research interests lie in the field of metabolomics, with a focus on developing liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry methods for measuring and characterizing metabolites in biological fluids. His work aims to understand disease processes and discover new biomarkers, particularly for cardiovascular diseases and inborn errors of metabolism.

In addition to his research, Dr. Alamri has served in key administrative roles, including Chairperson of the Clinical Laboratory Science Department and Program Director of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences program at his university.

His contributions to research have been recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation from the University President in 2024. Dr. Alamri is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS), the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, and the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO). He has also demonstrated a commitment to community service through his participation in various events and workshops, further highlighting his dedication to both his field and the broader community.
