 Ms. Azhar Akhmimi

Teaching Assistant

Ms. Azhar Akhmimi is a dedicated Teaching Assistant contributing to the excellence of the Cardiovascular Technology-Echocardiography program at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. A distinguished alumna of King Saud University, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Radiological Sciences, laying a solid foundation for her subsequent academic pursuits.

Ms. Akhmimi's commitment to advanced knowledge led her to the prestigious Imperial College London, where she earned a Master's degree in Medical Ultrasound. Her master's thesis made significant contributions to the field by investigating the complex interplay between left and right ventricular function following out-of-hospital cardiac arrest through innovative two-dimensional speckle-tracking echocardiography.

Currently, Ms. Akhmimi is pursuing doctoral studies at the University of Liverpool, delving into the intricacies of resistant hypertension with a focus on cardiac microvascular perfusion and mechanics. Her research promises to yield groundbreaking insights into this critical health challenge.
