 Ms. Saja Al Harbi

Teaching Assistant
Ms. Saja Al Harbi is a Teaching Assistant in the Anesthesia Technology Department at the College of Applied Medical Science, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. A distinguished graduate of the same university, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Anesthesia Technology in 2019. She advanced her expertise with a Master's degree in Critical Care from the prestigious Queen Mary University of London, UK. Her master's thesis investigated risk factors associated with postoperative acute kidney injury in major abdominal surgery. Ms. Al Harbi is a licensed Anesthesia Technology Specialist by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and has completed various certifications from the American Heart Association, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Experimental Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine at Queen Mary University of London. Her research explores the potential role of hyperglycemia as a causative mechanism for perioperative vasoplegia in non-cardiac surgery, aiming to enhance patient outcomes and advance the field of anesthesia.
