 Ms. Waad Al Jurrayed

Teaching Assistant
Ms. Waad Al Jurrayed is a dedicated Teaching Assistant significantly contributing to the Occupational Therapy Department at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. A distinguished alumna of this institution, she embarked on her academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, solidifying her commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. Her clinical skills was further sharpened through enriching internships at prestigious healthcare institutions in Riyadh, including King Fahad Medical City, Disabled Children Association, and Prince Sultan Centre for Special Educational Support Services.

Driven by an unwavering dedication to her field, Ms. Al Jurrayed pursued a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh in the USA. Her master's research delved into the intricate connection between sensory processing and sleep patterns in children with Down syndrome, providing valuable insights into this complex relationship.

Currently, Ms. Al Jurrayed is immersed in a PhD program in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. Her groundbreaking research is focused on the intersection of sensory processing and healthy habit formation in children with developmental disabilities. By exploring innovative occupational therapy interventions, she aspires to empower these children and their families, ultimately improving their quality of life and well-being.
