Prof. Raghib Abu-Saris

Professor of Mathematics in Health Informatics Department
Raghib Abu-Saris is a professor of mathematics. He received his Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics in 1994 from the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. Since graduation, he worked at several institutions and taught a wide variety of courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels before joining King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) in 2012. His main research interests are difference equations and discrete dynamical systems. He is also interested in mathematical biology, mathematical economics, and mathematics education.
He published more than 50 papers in highly renowned and peer-reviewed international journals and refereed conference proceedings in addition to an edited collection of conference proceedings. He supervised many undergraduate graduation projects. He also participated in the jury of a Ph.D. degree thesis in mathematical economics in Paris IX and co-supervised a Ph.D. thesis on difference equations. Professor Abu-Saris, in addition, is a referee for a dozen of peer-reviewed journals of mathematics and is a Reviewer for the American Mathematical Society and the Zentralblatt MATH.
