Nursing Department at the College of Nursing-Al Ahsa includes 3 main units namely Medical Surgical Unit, Maternity and Child Nursing Unit and Management/Community & Psychiatric Nursing Unit. The units are facilitating, mentoring and evaluating all academic, research, and community activities.
The Medical Surgical Nursing Unit provide and coordinate several courses; Fundamentals of Nursing 1 and 2, Health Assessment, Nursing Care of Adult 1 and 2, Critical Care Nursing, and Clinical Pharmacology. In addition, elective courses such as Palliative care and Lifestyle modifications for chronic illnesses.
The Maternity and Child Nursing Unit provide and coordinate Nursing care of Women and Newborn, Nursing care of Children and their Families, Normal Growth and Development, Clinical Nutrition, and Nursing research. In addition, Family health and child protection as an elective course.
The Management/Community and Psychiatric Nursing Unit provide and coordinate Nursing Management and Leadership, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Epidemiology, Communication for Health Professions. In addition to Society and Health as an elective course.
