Dr. Shaheen recently joined us in 2019 after obtaining general surgery residency training board certfication at McGill University, Canada, and did further training in Abdominal Transplantation Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. He is enthusiastic about education, health care awareness, and research. He launched the SHARC (SHaheen Advancing Research Crew) research initiative with our undergraduate students who are now working on several research projects. His areas of interests are related to transplant care, surgical educational and combating scientific misinformation and psuedoscientfic claims.
