Description

The program mission is to graduate research competent pharmacists with the appropriate and contemporary expertise in drug discovery and development to play an active role in pharmaceutical research and innovation that drives the development of novel drug entities that has the potential of being commercialized. The Program goals is to graduate well-equipped pharmacy researchers with advanced drug design knowledge, skills utilizing computational drug design and molecular modeling capabilities. To train graduates in individualized research who become leading contributors in drug discovery and development, as evidenced by their employment in R&D roles or citations of their work. To prepare skilled graduates who can lead the transformation of the pharmaceutical industry in Saudi Arabia. To play an active part in developing the technical abilities of Saudi nationals to contribute to nationalizing innovative pharmaceutical industries and Drug Discovery and Development.

Mission

Admission Criteria

  • 1. Applicant must have a Pharm.D​​​. or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from Saudi University or any other accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 on a 5.0 scale or equivalent.
  • 2. Applicant should have a record of good conduct and be medically fit.
  • 3. Applicants should submit a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.
  • 4. Applicant has to submit two letters of recommendation from her/his teaching faculty and/or work supervisors.
  • 5. Applicant, if an employee, must provide his/her employer's official approval for joining the program and partial work-load relief.
  • 6. The applicant must pass an interview with the program admissions committee.
