Open data is the data that can be freely used by anyone without technical, financial or legal constraints, and it can also be re-used and redistributed, taking into account the regulatory requirements under which such data were distributed.

KSAU has made open data available to all visitors and beneficiaries through the KSAU In Numbers page, which includes a variety of data types in several formats for easy processing and reuse.​​

This open data is also made available to beneficiaries through the university's profile on the Open Data Platform​​​​​ in order to enhance transparency and encourage electronic sharing.
