About Open Data
King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) Portal provides an Open Data Platform, aiming to enable the public (students, academics and other visitors) to use and benefit from the data available on the site. In addition, several data-rich documents and research papers are available in a variety of different formats, such as PDF, XML and XSL without having to use specialized programs, where they can be downloaded or viewed online via the open data library.
Usage Guidlines
User can easily access Open Data through University Development and Quality Affairs website. The user has the rights to download, open, browse, filter, and use open data in different format such as Excel, Word and PDF format. In addition, User can integrate open data with other software programs, such as smart devices, or any other applications, through file URL link directly.
Open Data Usage Policy:
What is open data?
‘Open data’ refers to the data open for all users of King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) Portal; students, academics and other visitors. It is produced by the university within the context of handling its specializations. Visitors of its services must view the open data usage policy and get acquainted with any new updates applied.
Open data users:
The university makes it available for portal users to access open data and use it at their personal responsibility; it is a right guaranteed to all users. Open data users’ responsibility: Open data users shall be responsible for re-using the data available at the university Portal, provided that the re-use of such data must not result in any errors related to the content of data, its origin and history.
KSAU-HS responsibility:
KSAU-HS shall not be held responsible for any misuse experienced by others as a result of using such data available on its Portal. Nor shall the university be held responsible by the users of this data due to whatever damage they might incur as a result of re-using the data. In addition, KSAU-HS does not guarantee continuity of such data or part of it.
Terms of reuse:
- The data must not be used for political purposes, or illegal influence in culture, education or research.
- When using such data you must mention its source (KSAU-HS Portal).
- You must refer to the source of the reused data by adding the link of KSAU-HS Portal, so as to maintain the intellectual property of the data, as well as the credibility and validity of the source.
