Dr. Haya Al Fwzan, Dean of College of Nursing was appointed as Vice President for Students Affairs, The Interim Committee entrusted with the mandate of the Council of Higher Education agreed to appoint her in this position in accordance with the decision sent to the University based on the speech of the Minister of Education.
His Excellncy Dr. Bandar bin Abdulmohsen Al Knawy, the President of the University, congratulated Dr Haya on this dear trust and called the other university leaders and their deanships and supporting deanships to cooperate with her to advance all aspects of developing and enhancing the academic, scientific and research capabilities of our students. Moreover, H.E said that Saudi Vision 2030 focuses on the participation of Saudi women in the labor market, making room for them in leadership positions, enhancing their positive role in society and enabling them to participate in decision-making at the universities level.
Dr. Al-Fwzan expressed her pride in the great trust that she has been given to participate in the implementation of the university's programs and plans for managing the affairs of its students. She confirmed that it is an important and responsible trust. Dr Haya said that she wishes to do more efforts and helps her colleagues. After that, she expressed her thanks to the wise leadership represented by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the Crown Prince of H.R.H Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their interest in women as an important component of the society's strength and enabling them to invest their abilities and academic and scientific qualifications in the fields of economic, social and health development. As well as giving Saudi women with the opportunity to contribute to advancing the development of the Kingdom in order to achieve the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 and the national transformation programs. At the end of her speech, Dr Haya thanked the Minister of Education and His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Abdul Mohsen Al Knawy for their trust and support.
