His Highness the Minister of National Guard, Prince Khalid bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, inaugurated the Eighth Annual Patient Safety Conference on Monday 9 April 2018 at the Conference Center in Riyadh campus, with the participation of 73 experts, specialists and health practitioners from the Kingdom and abroad.
For his part, H.H Prince Khalid bin Ayyaf, delivered a speech in which he said that the success of this conference is a guide to the success of the health care interest in the Ministry of National Guard and the university in its scientific and cultural role, reflecting the high level which reached it as one of the medical monuments in our country. His Highness Stressed that this success comes under the guidance of our wise government led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, to make the health facilities of the Ministry of National Guard with its medical cities, hospitals, laboratories and specialized centers support the health fields in our country to provide the best health care for citizens. He added that the Conference of Patient Safety in which includes speakers and experts from inside and outside the Kingdom participate, promotes the principles of safety through the participation of scientific research and developments in this field.
Moreover, His Excellency, President of the university. Dr. Bandar Al Knawy said that in order to be in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who are keen to achieve the highest standards of health care and to ensure the safety of the patient in accordance with health standards of quality and reflect the development In the health services in the Kingdom in line with Vision 2030, Health Affairs has sought to activate all plans and strategies to achieve the goals of the vision in the fields of health care, including the Conference of Patient Safety to share experiences in health care to create a safe environment and medical care by training health practitioners on the latest in health care.
Last but not Least, Executive Director of Quality Management and Patient Safety and Chairman of the Scientific Committee Dr. Abdulmohsen Alsaawi, explained during the introductory meeting of the 8th Annual Patient Safety Forum on Sunday, that the scientific committee has received 212 research papers and projects related to the patients safety from both local and international experts, noting that 187 were selected for discussion and presentation.
