The meeting, chaired by Prof. Abdulkarim Al-Bakiri, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and current Chairman of the Council of Deans of Pharmacy Colleges in the Kingdom, focused on the potential introduction of new academic programs that underscore the significance of pharmacy as a discipline. Among the key topics were the enhancement of program standards and the establishment of a Pharmacy Technician Diploma, alongside refining the criteria for the bridging program.
In an inspiring move to align theoretical knowledge with practical prowess, Prof. Al-Bakiri led his esteemed colleagues on an exclusive tour of the King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC) and the Riyadh Clinical Simulation and Skills Center. The tour highlighted the cutting-edge technologies and extensive capabilities of these centers, which play a crucial role in realizing the college’s ambitious goals and elevating the quality of pharmacy education.
